DESCRIPTION: Angelus, Le Locle, Switzerland, a gold, quarter repeating pocket chronograph with aviation theme, 16 jewels, stem wind and lever set gilt plate movement with lever escapement in an 18 karat, yellow gold hunting case, with maker's awards for the Liege and Milan Expositions engraved on gold cuvette, and front cover featuring an early aircraft and laurel frond in high relief, and with diamond set sun, Arabic numeral, single sunk white enamel dial, gold spade and whip hands, 55mm, 113.7g TW, c1910.
CONDITION: CASE: Minor, shallow dents; Fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Repair to band at chronograph pusher; Precious metal content marked; Diamonds tested. DIAL: Very good. HANDS: Good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Very fine scratches on plate; Minor scratch at click; Minor scratches on steel; Minor spotting. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks). COMPLICATION FUNCTION: Functions properly.
